There’s something special about celebrating our wedding in a place where Greek and Persian histories crossed paths for thousands of years. It felt like the perfect place to bring our two cultures and all our favourite people together.

Our Story

Our paths crossed in a very modern way by swiping right. Our first date almost didn’t happen because we both thought we had been stood up! Niusha went to the place next door to the restaurant we had agreed on, while Kosta was waiting in the right spot lolThankfully we found each other before either of us gave up and that story became an ice breaker for many more dates.When Niusha moved to Ontario, Kosta joined her a few months later and we began our new chapter together.We now live in Mississauga with our precious dog, Niko, who runs the house without paying the bills.

Our favourite third wheel and a very important part of our little family. He won’t be joining us in Greece, but he’s given his approval!

Getting to Skoutari from Athens

Arriving at Athens International Airport (ATH), you can rent a car or take buses to Gythio and then a taxi to Skoutari.By carRent a car at Athens International Airport, they have the major rental car companies (e.g., Enterprise, Avis, Hertz). The drive takes approximately four hours from Athens Airport to Skoutari (318km), mostly on highways, with smaller local roads as you approach Skoutari.We recommend driving during daylight.Expect roughly €19 in tolls (they accept credit/debit).Enter your accommodation’s exact address in Google Maps and choose Skoutari, Laconia, Mani.By bus Take the X93 airport bus or a taxi to Kifissos Bus Station, then a KTEL Lakonias bus to Gythio (Gytheio) via Sparta. You may need to change buses in Sparta depending on the schedule. Allow 4–5 hours plus connection time.From Gythio, take a taxi to Skoutari (about 20 minutes); arrange this with your accommodation in advance.Check KTEL Lakonias for timetables and tickets and confirm departure times, connections, and fares closer to your trip. We recognize what a huge ask it is for our family and friends to travel so far for our big day. This has been a dream of ours and we truly have zero expectations for attendance.
